In 1987, two Chicago-area sisters, Lyn and Lorraine, and their husbands Mike and Jan, realized a dream. Together they purchased the beautiful Belle Aire Mansion Guest House just minutes from Main Street in Galena, IL. With their families, they moved to Galena and began doing what they really wanted to do: provide gracious and comfortable lodging for guests traveling to Galena for a relaxing getaway.

A year later, Lyn and Mike moved and began their own bed and breakfast with in-town convenience, while Lorraine and Jan continued to run Belle Aire Mansion Guest House with its country pleasures. Lyn and Mike have since retired from their bed and breakfast.

Lorraine and Jan have been the "keeper of the keys" at Belle Aire Mansion Guest House for over 32 years. Dedicated innkeepers, they take pride in sharing their home and welcoming travelers from all over the United States and abroad. They provide that warm, caring personal service that is missing in the large establishments. That exemplary service is so rewarding for both guest and innkeeper alike.
